IC International, Hawaii’s premier wholesale provider of excess and surplus lines insurance, has promoted Darren Shigemura to Executive Vice President.

In this position, Shigemura oversees the Contract Binding and Policy Services Units, and assists in the overall management of the company’s operations.

Shigemura joined IC International in 2014 and previously served as Vice President, Executive Underwriter and Broker. He has over 15 years of experience in the finance and insurance industries.

Shigemura is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He holds Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Consultant (CIC) and Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS) designations.
