Mike Onofrietti
Island Insurance has appointed Mike Onofrietti as Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary & Chief Risk Officer.
As Chief Risk Officer, Onofrietti will oversee the company’s enterprise risk management and reinsurance programs. He will continue to manage the company’s actuarial strategy and government relations.
Onofrietti is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and has over 35 years of insurance industry experience. He is an associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and holds the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter designation.
Current community contributions include Board Chair of Goodwill Industries of Hawai‘i, Board Member of Hawai‘i Youth Symphony and Kids’ Chance of Hawai‘i, and member of the Community Advisory Committee to the Honolulu Office of Climate Change, Sustainability and Resiliency. Onofrietti obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Rutgers University.
