Shauna Cabel
Shauna Cabel is Strategic Business Partner for People Services (HR), Organizational Development at Bank of Hawaii. Her career began in 2006 as a Service Associate where she trained in the accelerated leadership program to assist managers. Over the course of the program, Shauna developed her leadership skills and was promptly promoted to Service/Teller Supervisor at the Pearlridge Branch, where she effectively ran operations in the absence of the Service Manager. She transitioned to become a Service Manager and focused her branch on increased levels of sales, service and compliance goals. Shauna took great pride in her team executing with exceptional levels of service for their customers. So much so, that she developed and facilitated a Disney initiative that focused on creating uncommon experiences and legendary moments with each and every guest.
Shauna transitioned out of the branch and into People Services (HR) as a Corporate Trainer in 2015. During her time as a Corporate Trainer, Shauna was tasked to help launch the bank’s first College Assistance Program. She was also selected to partner with the Department of Education and the Hawaii Bankers Association to help design content and facilitate for the State’s first Universal Banker Program. Shauna has coordinated and managed multiple leadership training programs – Pathways to Professional Excellence, Bank Associate Program and Kupuna Series. Recently, Shauna helped plan, design and implement a workplace excellence program that had organization wide implications and built a foundation for creating a safe and healthy work environment.
Shauna is currently enrolled at Chaminade University pursuing a BA in Psychology. Her teaching certifications include: “5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity”, “Mastering Emotional Intelligence”, “People Skills”, “Fostering Workplace Excellence”, “Crucial Conversations” and “Navigating Conflict.” When Shauna is not working, she spends her time with her two children, Isaiah – who will be attending Dixie State University in the fall and Tatum who is a sophomore at Waipahu High School and lastly playing with and walking their dog, Chai (which also happens to be Shauna’s favorite flavor for a beverage).
