Swinerton is pleased to announce the promotion of Erika Mori to Director of Preconstruction and Estimating. Erika has been with Swinerton since 2014 in a variety of roles ranging from Senior Project Engineer, Estimator, Project Manager and Preconstruction Manager. Erika’s early area of expertise focused on high-end retail construction in which she provided estimating and preconstruction services, as well as overseeing day-to-day operations on the project sites.

In her new role as Director of Preconstruction and Estimating, Erika will lead Swinerton’s Preconstruction and Estimating Team to develop thorough estimates at all document levels, including order of magnitude, conceptual, schematic, design development, construction, and bid documents.  She will work hand-in-hand with Swinerton’s Operations Teams and Support Services Groups to provide best-in-class constructability reviews, work schedules, logistics planning, value engineering, and cost information for alternative systems and materials, all to ensure that Swinerton’s clients continue to receive high quality preconstruction services.

Born and raised on Oahu, Erika is an alumna of Punahou School and the University of Pennsylvania.  She spent the early part of her career working in portfolio trading and asset management for Goldman Sachs in Tokyo and JP Morgan in San Francisco.  Her experience in finance transitioned well into her career in construction where her meticulous approach to budgets, schedules, costs, and client services greatly benefited the outcome of her projects.

Erika is currently part of the Pacific Resource Partnership Executive Leadership Series, a year-long program that is sponsored by the local Hawaii Carpenters Union. She holds OSHA 30 & CQM Certifications, and is an active volunteer at her children’s school.
