Maureen Nelson’s experience includes developing public relations and advertising strategies for new product launches, positioning or re-positioning company brands in the marketplace and event marketing, Nelson has spearheaded major campaigns and product introductions for Hawaiian Airlines, Bank of Hawaii, AT&T Hawaii, Mazda Motor of America, Mitsubishi Motors and Ross Dress For Less.
She began her career as a reporter for the Santa Cruz Daily Sentinel before moving to Los Angeles, where she worked as an automotive journalist, writer and editor at Petersen Publishing. She was a vice president for Hill & Knowlton Public Relations both in Los Angeles and in Honolulu, which at that time was the largest public relations agency in the world.
