Hub Coworking Hawai‘i

There were a lot of significant developments for Hub Coworking in 2023. Tell us about some of the highlights.

2023 has been a pivotal year for Hub Coworking. One of our major accomplishments is our partnership with the State of Hawaii and the Hawai‘i Technology Development Corporation, which selected Hub Coworking as the new operator for Entrepreneurs Sandbox in May. The decision was driven by our operational expertise and the fact that Hub boasts the largest network of coworking and event spaces in the state. The Sandbox has been instrumental in supporting countless startups and entrepreneurs. It seamlessly aligns with our mission to foster innovation, collaboration and connections in Hawai‘i. We are honored to take Entrepreneurs Sandbox to the next level and contribute to the thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in Honolulu.

That is exciting. Tell us more about what makes Entrepreneurs Sandbox special.

Entrepreneurs Sandbox is a hidden gem in the heart of Kaka‘ako. In addition to being a traditional coworking space, it’s a stunning event venue with a modern aesthetic and cool overall vibe. What sets it apart is its 40 foot projector screen that fills a vaulted ceiling room, making it ideal for various events. From film festivals to tech company showcases and business gatherings of all sizes, it serves as a premier, convenient event venue.

Finally, what is the future of coworking in Hawai‘i?

Coworking has experienced remarkable growth in the state and shows no signs of slowing. The work from home trend has evolved into a hybrid model and the return to office is being driven by both employers and employees. However, the concept of “office” has transformed. Companies and individuals are recognizing the cost-efficiency, flexibility and advantages of a diverse community for collaboration and productivity that coworking and shared office space provides. Overall, coworking in Hawai‘i will expand dramatically in the coming years and we’re proud to be a leader in this industry.
